Thai Visa on Arrival
Other foreign nationals who don’t qualify for the 30-day Visa Stamp may avail the Visa On Arrival Scheme which provides the qualified foreigner a 15-day stay in Thailand. The Visa is applied for at the Airport’s Immigration Office upon arriving in Thailand or at any Immigration Check Points in the Country.
The requirements are as follows:
- Completed Application Form
- Return flight ticket
- Proof of financial capacity to support oneself while in Thailand such as bank statements, cash, travel checks
- Visa Fee is THB 1900 (Free at the moment until March 2011)
Qualified Nationals for the Visa on Arrival
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs lists the following countries and territories whose citizens are qualified for the Visa On Arrival scheme:
1. Bhutan : Kingdom of Bhutan
2. China : People’s Republic of China
3. Cyprus : Republic of Cyprus
4. Czech : Czech Republic
5. Estonia : Republic of Estonia
6. Hungary : Republic of Hungary
7. India : Republic of India
8. Kazakhstan : Republic of Kazakhstan
9. Latvia : Republic of Latvia
10. Liechtenstein : Principality of Liechtenstein
11. Lithuania : Republic of Lithuania
12. Maldives : Republic of Maldives
13. Mauritius : Republic of Mauritius
14. Oman : Sultanate of Oman
15. Poland : Republic of Poland
16. Russian Federation
17. Saudi Arabia : Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
18. Slovakia : Slovak Republic

VOA Extension
Extension is not permitted for this visa type hence the foreigner has to leave on or before the VOA expires.
